Week ending July 29, 2011: Tucker is unsuccessful in his attempt to regain control of his company. Taylor tells Katie about Bill's affair with Steffy.
She hasn't strayed to the dark side, she's training for her black belt in SuperMom over in the MamaGym. Remember when Ashley was angry with Tucker after the night of the accident when Abby had revealed to her that Tucker was supposed to meet Diane? When Tuck was on his deathbed, she chose to sit in healthy Abby's room and shooed off whoever came to fetch her with (paraphrasing) "He's almost dead? My fiance? Yeah, OK... I'll be along directly. Go on now... I'm just going to sit here a little longer with my daughter, who doesn't have a scratch on her and is sleeping now..."
Meanwhile, back in Tucker's hospital room, Katherine was single-handedly taking on lawyers, the hospital, even God herself to protect her son from The Grim Reaper. No one else seemed to notice Ashley's absence as odd, but Katherine was taking notes.
Katherine also overheard Ashley apologizing to Tucker (after she found out Abby had set up the fake night-before-the-wedding rendezvous), then suddenly being all lovey and not wanting to be away from Tuck... after she was arrested for attempted murder and was out on bail.
In short, she doesn't trust Ashley and is acting totally in character as Tucker's protector during this time of his Befuddlement. She's not by nature a meddlesome person, but she's fierce as a lioness when she's protecting someone she loves...
And now that Diane has told Ashley that she DID sleep with "her man," and Ashley has delivered her signature SLAP, we can see her once again descending into HER dark side. Her naive high-school attachment to Tucker has suddenly (overnight!) becone tenuous. She's looking at him with daggers and I'm wondering if that will lead her to betray his Befuddlement secret somehow, "accidentally." She may even welcome the annulment. If that happens, Jack's position would continue to be golden, along with Tucker's company and MamaBear Katherine could relax a little until Tucker could regain his senses.
Forgotten info in the latest podcast:
Nikki is missing from Rehab! She could have flown to Genoa City and become one of the other thousand Diane haters and was following her that night. It may have been her spooky shadow crossing Jack's window. However,
I think it could have been Crazy Pattycakes who Adam helped escape and who he's been in touch with all these months. Because she's so Jack-wacky, she flew into town and went straight to Jack's house, then when she saw Diane with him through the window, her crazy gene imploded and she decided to kill her to keep her away from Jack. And she did.
Another theory: That mysterious shadow was Genevieve, who has revealed herself as not a little unhinged. She may have a fixation on Jack like Patty and just for fun killed Diane...!???

Maybe.
There are just SO many suspects.
